The series conceived and compiled by Isaak Kushnir. Text - M.German.
Alarming and affectionate, Figurina's painting has this exact guarding function. She translates the anxiety of a defenseless, reflecting person into the language of paints and lines, she helps to see one's own sorrow as na art phenomenon - namely, to see harmony and beauty in the chaos of despair abashment. She sustains these feelings with the "substance of art" that penetrates the human soul only visually, and not be means of speculation.
Figurina's art opens itself to those who view it and those who are able to see it. This requires a skill and chiefly a desire to appreciate the elements that didtinguish painting from other arts. One does not need to "decipher" and retell. One should perceive their profound codes "without translating" in their own unique language.
